Products
R&Co flexible hair spray - easy to layer and cruelty free
White Sands medium setting spray – creates hold for long lasting waves and curls as well as adding heat protection
Bumble & Bumble texturising powder - light weight and refreshes your style
Tools
h2d medium size curling wand - the x5 has 5 interchangeable heads making it super versatile. Sarah mainly use the medium and large wands to create these looks.
Hair Prep
Spritz hair with the White Sands setting spray & blow dry to add texture.
Section hair from the nape of the neck; again spraying the hair with the white sands setting spray. In sections, curl using the wand all the way around the head. Make sure to curl hair away from the face. Spray each section with the R & Co Flexible hold spray. Using a wide tooth comb to brush out the curls, creating a softer wave through the hair.
Finally, dust the Bumble & Bumble texturising powder on the roots and mid lengths. Give hair a 'zhush' to add texture and body. From here you can either leave hair out or pop hair into a ponytail, low or high with your fave Juliette Hair Scarf.
While you curl your hair, leave the ends out for a more relaxed look. After dusting the hair roots with the Bumble & Bumble texturising powder, flip your head over & scrunch hair with your hands. Sectioning the top half of hair, pull into a high ponytail. Take this hair into two sections and twist them; pulling the twist apart and wrapping it around the ponytail into a bun shape. Secure with a few bobby pins. Wrap the scarf around the bun in the way you like; softly pulling at the bun to add texture. To create a loose wave you can either use the medium or large sized wand.
The Ponytail
Simply gather your hair into a ponytail using a hair elastic for that polished look. Wrap the scarf around the hair elastic, securing it in a knot or bow.
Half Up Ponytail
Sectioning the top half of hair, pull into a ponytail at the back of the head. Simply tie the scarf around the hair elastic - and you're done!
Braid
Place the hair into a low ponytail, lightly pulling the hair around the crown and sides to create softness. Tie the scarf end into a knot at the hair tie. Sectioning the hair into three sections; add the scarf into one of them, gently plaiting the hair and securing the end with a hair tie. Knot the remaining end around the hair tie. To finish off, softly pull at the braid to add fullness.
The Effortless Ponytail
Simply gather your hair into a ponytail and wrap the scarf around your hair securing it in a knot or bow. You can either create your look polished or undone. To create a textured undone look, leave soft pieces of hair around your face and pull the hair around the crown and ears; to add volume and softness.
Top Knot
Place into a high ponytail and take the hair into two sections and twist them; pulling the twist apart and wrapping it around the ponytail into a bun shape. Secure with a few bobby pins. Wrap the scarf around the bun in the way you like; softly pulling at the bun to add texture.
Sarah's Tip: To soften the style, leave the baby hair free near the hairline and around the ears
