Set amongst hanging floral installations, flashing lights, and the Ivy Ballroom's signature bronzed detailing in the heart of Sydney, Harper's Bazaar annual charity event, BAZAAR in Bloom, unfolded.
For the 27-look show, which called upon bespoke couture dresses from Australia's best designers, three distinct looks were created by the M.A.C team, led by makeup guru Nicole Thompson, and the Goldwell Australia team, led by Daren Borthwick.
The first look centred on bold, electric liner, which used matte shades of pinky corals, bright teals and deep burgundies winged out into a dramatic cat-eye. The liner, dewy skin, natural lips and brushed-out brows were paired with subtle waves.
Switching the focus to the lips for the second look, models were given burgundy, plum or brick-red lips, which were powdered down to a matte finish. The rest of the look was kept clean with barely-there eye makeup and fluffy brows. Wet-look hair rounded things out. (Plus, the addition of sculptural floral headpieces, utilising fresh roses, orchids, leaves and lillies.)
The last look was all about keeping things slick. Lacquering the hair down into two low braids behind the ears, tendrils were pulled out to frame the face and provide dynamic shape. On the beauty side of things, models were given dewy skin, natural brows and high-shine illumination on the high planes of the face.
